JusticeDate of Birth: 1991 Breed: Dutch Warmblood Height: 16.1hh Stud Fee: $1,200 Booking Fee: $250 Discounts: Premium Mares and Multiple Bookings Breed Approvals: BWP Comments: Justice is currently one of the few direct sons of the great Holsteiner stallion Ramiro currently available for breeding in North America. His mother line also has superb and proven genetics for jumping. Not only does Justice have a fantastic pedigree, he also has a proven show record, placing and winning at some of the top venues in the eastern United States. Justice was imported from Holland in the late 1990's by Arnold Bomgaars and his daughter Kate. Also known as "Jackson", Justice was intended to be not only a breeding stallion for their Bomgaars Farm operation, but also as a competitive mount for Kate who was moving up in the jumper ranks. Justice had his early experience in the United States with Kate's trainer Laura Kraut and with Kate herself, and earned a solid reputation among his fans, who nicknamed him "Luxury Liner" because of the great rideability he offered. As Justice was moving into the high amateur divisions, the Bomgaars were approached with an offer of purchase by amateur Venezuelan rider Alberto Carmona, who then placed the horse with Lisa Jacquin and later with Pablo Barrios of Mexico. Justice had quick and phenomenal success on his career track, which was unfortunately cut short due to an injury. October Hill Farm was offered and shortly accepted the opportunity to own this very well-bred and appealing stallion who promises to bring yet more great opportunities to our breeding program.

Ramzes AA
Ramiro is a son of Raimond, whose greatest son was Ramiro himself but who also produced five other approved sons. Raimond’s sire, Ramzes, was a Polish Anglo-Arabian brought to Holstein as a competition horse, but was subsequently used by the Verband to put refinement on the heavy Holsteiner mares. It is safe to claim that the breed exists as it does today through the contributions of this stallion. Ramzes produced not only competition horses such as Remus, winner of individual silver and team gold at the Tokyo Olympics, and Mariano, winner of the World Dressage Championships, and the show jumper Retina, but he also has had a lasting influence in the performance horses of today. His son, Rigoletto, sold to Holland by Holstein, where he had a hugely successful career as a sire of exceptional jumping horses. |

Ramiro Z
Sire Line - Justice is a direct son of Ramiro Z, famous worldwide as a sire of sporthorses. Ramiro was the top stallion of his time, influential not only for his offspring, but also for his success in sport. He excelled in Puissance up to 2.20m and participated in several successful Nations Cup outings. Though a Holsteiner by pedigree, Ramiro was moved to Zangersheide in 1979 and later sold to Holland. He was named "Sire of the Year" in 1992 and remains at the top of breeder indices in both jumping and dressage for many breed organizations today. In Holland, his sons Almiro, Armstrong, Bernstein, Dageraad, Damiro, Elmero and Zeoliet have all achieved fame. His daughter, the super-mare Ratina Z, is the dream of the showjumping world, winning both gold and silver at the Barcelona Olympics and the Volvo World Cup of 1993. His progeny distinguish themselves in dressage as well. |

Ubiena
Dam's Line Justice's dam, Ubenia, was a prolific dam in Holland, producing a family which gave rise to such successful showjumpers as Olien (Concorde). Ubenia is sired by Joost. Joost produced many internationally successful showjumping, including the well-known stallion VIP and the top mares Esprite and Gadernmie, while such performers as Hay Guy, Osta Carpets Carrera and PS Galveston also have Joost as a sire. As a reflection of this, his showjumping BLUP is currently a very impressive 148.
Ubiena's damsire is the same Rigoletto mentioned above, making Justice a double-bred Ramzes offspring, offering a unique opportunity to serious jumper breeders. |

Cottage Son xx
Justice also doubles up the blood of the superior Thoroughbred stallion Cottage Son. As a broodmare sire, Cottage Son has been a sensation, siring the dams of two of the all time greats of modern jumping breeding: Lord and Ramiro. His son, Consul was the sire of the world champion dressage horse, Granat. |
