OcordoDate of Birth: 1996 Breed: Dutch Warmblood Height: 16.3hh Stud Fee: $Frozen only $850 per dose Booking Fee: $Discounts: Premium Mares and Multiple Bookings Breed Approvals: RPSI, BWP Comments: OCORDO 1996-2009 It is with great sorrow that we announce the tragic loss of our wonderful friend Ocordo. On February 5, 2009, Ocordo suffered a life-ending injury while in the breeding shed for a routine clean-out collection. Ocordo, a Dutch Warmblood, was a son of the matchless Olympic Concorde (Jos Lansink) and came from a mother who was the full sister of Carrera La Silla, an outstanding international competitor who won the Grand Prix at Aachen and participated in several Nations Cup events. Ocordo, a talented jumper in the prime of his life and on an upward career track, left this world too soon and will be deeply missed by our staff, his longtime rider Erin Davis Walsh, and all of his admirers. His true greatness lives on in the foal crops he left with us and the hope they carry forward into the future. Ocordo is by the outstanding sire Olympic Concorde, who, guided by Jos Lansink, won the Grand Prix at Aachen and the Dutch National Championships, among many other successes. Concorde is himself by in incomparable Voltaire, one of the highest ranking sires among sporthorses worldwide for the past decade. Ocordo's dam, Katosca, is a full sister to another Aachen winner, Osta Carpets Carrera, who is today owned by the studbook La Silla. Great jumping genetics combine in Ocordo, a beautiful and capable stallion of enormous personality and charisma. Imported as a six year old and brought up carefully through the levels, Ocordo began showing in Grand Prix and international competitions in the last several years. He exhibits great interest in his work, careful and bold on course, and demonstrates his tremendous scope in the most difficult of combinations. This exciting stallion, who is really just at the beginning of what promises to be a very triumphant career, offers a pedigree crammed with proven jumping abilities backed up by very solid and serious show records among many family members, a resume to be seriously considered for those looking to produce highly competitive prospects.
