Oley’s parentage is equipped with excellent talent for the sport. Sire Ocordo is by Olympic Concorde (Jos Lansink), winner of the Grand Prix at Aachen as well as the Dutch National Championships. Concorde is a son of the incomparable Voltaire, considered by many to be one of the most prolific producers of winning performance horses in the world. Ocordo’s dam is a full sister to Osta Carpet’s Carrera , also a winner of the Grand Prix at Aachen and now a top producer for Studbook La Silla. Oley’s dam Lassergut Caresse (Coriano/Capitol I), who is also a petite horse, was purchased from October Hill by Will Simpson, gold medalist in 2008 Olympics, as a sport prospect and placed in 1.35m in Spruce Meadows and she is currently being shown by Kent Farrington.

Cascani, a son of the Holsteiner Verband’s popular stallion Cassini I, was himself competitive in jumping sports up to the Grand Prix level prior to retirement for breeding, where he is now making a mark as a sire of amateur-friendly and talented horses with excellent gaits and jumping technique. Cascani is a product of the successful sporting family 456, and is a half brother to the Verband’s Askano, a successful dressage horse. On Concho’s mother side we find the Ramiro’s Son daughter Ravenna, herself a capable showjumper up to the 1.45m level. Ramiro’s Son is himself by the great stallion Ramiro Z. Further in the pedigree is the Trakhener stallion Cyrian, notable in European breeding for the development of the C-line of jumping horses in the Westfalian breeding region, a family which produced the World Cup Winner McLain (Leslie Burr Lenehan). Concho received a permit for breeding with the RPSI as a three year old, but has not been used for breeding as he is focused on a sport career.
