Imported from Germany, this lovely, substantial, 1991 Hanoverian mare is by Argentan (Absatz) out of Weingold byWeidmannsdank. We bought her specifically to breed to Amaretto D II to produce jumper foals with the scope and skills of the Almé line and the fire of the Gotthard and Argentan blood. Two of this mare's previous foals were sold to Italy as weanlings. She is a very sporty, modern type and received scores of 9 on her jumping technique. She is a very affectionate mare and has lovely movement, which likely comes from the Trakehener in her pedigree.Argentina has produced two lovely foals by Amaretto D II, Apollo and Atalanta, and is in foal with a third due in 2003. Expect only the best from this wonderful mare.

Imported by October Hill in 1998, this 1991 Holsteiner mare's sire is the fabulous Corrado I. Her dam is Wilja by Romino (Ramiro) out of a Cor de la Bryere mare, making her a double bred "Corde." She was a premium foal and has bonits of 7 7 7 6 5 6 6, for a total of 44. While in training in California prior to becoming a broodmare, we were approached often by trainers who were impressed with her powerful and scopey jumping style. She is a very nice mover and produced a gorgeous filly, Phoebe, by Lordship, and a premium filly, Shutterfly, by Ariadus in 2002. She is currently in foal to October Hill Farm's Cascani (Cassini/Carneval) for 2003. She would be a great asset to your program.
