At October Hill Farm our emphasis is placed on performance. We are breeding athletes that can excel in a variety of equestrian endeavors: dressage, jumping, hunters, eventing. But, we are also always concerned with quality, and the knowledge that great bloodlines produce great horses. In our efforts, we strive to bring together the genetics, ability, talent, and heart that make a champion.

Our broodmares are chosen for their bloodlines and proven success as athletes, as producers, or even as both. Our stallions, each successful in their own careers, have pedigrees laden with the blood of superlative equines from earlier generations.

We match stallion to mare because we want our colts and fillies to succeed. Their success in performance is of the utmost importance to us.

One hundred percent of our breeding is done by artificial insemination, which reduces risks and raises conception rates. While we can easily provide on-farm breeding services to you, we can also ship frozen and cooled semen for those who wish to breed their mares at home.
